My imagination is running slow
My thoughts are going thin
Everything is crumbling down
All around me
All I see is-
What I could be.
And what I've become
Is far from what I see
I have a lot of learning to do
But it's all the learning
That I don't want to do.
I see the clouds
And I don't see a dog
Or a fish
Or a dragon
I see a cloud
And nothing more
I don't see anyone on it
Or in it
I see a cloud
Hovering over the sun
Like a curtain
To seal what it is
From the eyes of someone curious.
My eyes are nothing more
Than a dead field of grass
That has been watered too much
It's dead
